India aims to become a global hub for semiconductor and package manufacturing by addressing gaps in R&D, advanced manufacturing, workforce in technology development and manufacturing , and supply chain ecosystem, supported by a $10 billion India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
The Indian Design, Semiconductor, Packaging and System (IDSPS) initiative unites 30 top academic research institutions and 100 global companies to establish 12 industry co-development centers (ICCs) with industry consortium in each. The Indian Semiconductors and Packaging Ecosystem Conference (ISPEC) brings all these together to review the progress and finalize the industry center and industry consortium proposals to Meity, industry and State governments funding.
• Research Session: 80- faculty presentations in 12 Strategic Research Areas.
• Student Poster papers: 150+ Ph.D. and M.Tech. students presenting 150 poster papers to compete for Best Poster Awards.
• Workforce session: Three presentations: Manufacturing, current technologies, and next-gen technologies.
• Suppliers Session: 50+ companies from India, US, Europe, Japan, and Korea
